"I have seen a tremendous amount of growth in [student] from the beginning of the year, to now. I have especially seen progress in his engagement levels such as that I have been noticing him seeming increasingly more excited in reading and writing. I have also seen his writing and story creation abilities improve over the course of the school year, with his most recent writing piece impressing me a lot and showcasing a lot of growth. His spelling and handwriting has also improved over the course of the school year as well. Additionally, I have seen his reading comprehension skills improve, with him being able to insightfully answer questions about what he has just read."

"You have really invested in [my daughter], she is so comfortable with you, and she has made great progress with your help. I honestly don’t think she would have made the same progress with anyone else, just because you are so holistic in your approach. [My daughter] has learned so much from you and I have appreciated your support so much." - JK, Parent

"Our son started seeing Leanne over the summer with suspected apraxia of speech. We have had nothing but positive experiences along the way and cannot recommend her highly enough. At the beginning of therapy, we were very overwhelmed and emotional over the challenges our 2-year old son was facing, and Leanne helped guide us through the experience while equipping us with the tools and resources to best support him. Over the following months, we observed an incredible transformation of his language and speech, which we directly attribute to the techniques and practices Leanne uses. He has gone from having a small handful of words with limited sounds (lots of "dah" and "uh") to comprehensible 4 word sentences with an exponentially growing vocabulary. He has also gained so much confidence and self-efficacy through the process. It is also worth mentioning that throughout the pandemic I have always felt safe in Leanne's space, as she takes the necessary precautions and we always have the option to meet remotely via Zoom.  I am so incredibly grateful for her patience and professionalism, as well as her skills and knowledge, and the impact she has made on my son's life." - SR, Parent

"Our 7th grade son started seeing Leanne about a year ago. Since then we have seen so much progress and improvement in all areas of concern. He really enjoys his sessions and his teachers at school have seen significant growth as as well. We are so happy that we found Leanne and highly recommend working with her." - SM, Parent

"Our daughter started visiting Leanne when she was about two and a half years old. Leanne had the perfect balance of ensuring the experience was fun but also challenging and productive. With a 2-1/2 year old, this took a great understanding of how and when to challenge them. Even with us parents, when asked or pressured, our daughter would just refuse to speak (let alone work on any sounds), and with no pressure, she also would be content to just listen. So using techniques to encourage her to speak through fun toys, play, pausing, and queues really helped her development. The experience was also a great education for us parents with resources and tips provided." - JP, Parent

"Thanks again for all your help with speech therapy for R. We were so impressed with the way you conducted your speech therapy classes. [Her] fast progress can be credited to how talented you are at your work."  - ST, Parent

"Leanne has been working with my son with a speech issue, and I am truly blown away. It is abundantly clear that Leanne is a master in her field, and her gift at working with children is incredible. I am amazed at the progress he has made with her, and could not be more thankful. Trust me—if you are seeking a SLP for your child, Leanne is who to go to." - EW, Parent

"One of the best speech pathologist out there in the PDX area. She’s very knowledgeable, kind and above all amazing with kids. She’s great at assisting parents with supplemental weekly work to increase speech progress for their children. We have been in speech for a total of four years and LeeAnne is our second speechie ever. We are beyond grateful we found her. She does incredible work with apraxia and speech. We have seen tremendous progress in such a short time frame (been with her for almost 6 months). She feels like part of our family and my child is always excited to see her!" - NJ, Parent

"Leanne has been an amazing Speech Therapist for us! I've been completely impressed with the creativity and FUN she brings to every session for my daughter. And doubly impressed that she's been able to do all of this via zoom during the pandemic. We've noticed so much amazing progress with our daughter's speech and are very grateful to Leanne! I highly recommend!" - MK, Parent

"Leanne is a master of her craft. She is kind, flexible, engaging, fun and above all, effective at encouraging and teaching speech. Our son is sometimes pretty wriggly in his seat and Leanne adjusts and engages him where he is at on a given day. I could not recommend her more highly." - VM, Parent

"Leanne worked with both of my kids to correct different speech issues. Leanne has a magical way of communicating with kids to make the process fun and as easy as possible. She is results oriented, and both of my kids improved quickly. I was a bit hesitant about the effectiveness of working with a speech therapist over zoom, but the process was seamless, and my kids enjoyed playing games and even following up with their exercises. Would definitely recommend!" - TM, Parent

"After 2 years of solid, phonics-based reading instruction, my 7.5 year old was still really struggling to read. There were some other areas with which he struggled that also seemed to impact his academic success. Leanne Dall did a comprehensive evaluation to understand, pinpoint and prioritize the specific areas in which he needed intervention. She developed a comprehensive treatment plan with clear, measurable goals – clearly outlined in her thorough, 26-page report. He has been working with her 3 days per week, for about 6 months now, and the gains he has made in that time have been incredible! He is now reading text in the environment, a variety of early readers and picture books, notes, lists, birthday cards, and street signs, etc – all spontaneously. And, he looks forward to his sessions with Leanne! Leanne is masterful at her craft. She’s curious, interested, seems to really enjoy my child, and she’s shared so many relevant resources to help me better understand and support him at home and in his schooling. And, when one of my other kids needed speech therapy due to an orthodontic issue, Leanne was able to help with that, too. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for speech, language and/or reading intervention." - SE, Parent

"Leanne is a miracle worker. She helped my son correct his reverse swallow and fix his r's and s's. Our whole family loves her and she easily commanded the respect of our then-6-year-old. Her new office is so bright and cheerful. I just cannot recommend her more highly." - JS, Parent

"My daughter absolutely LOVED Leanne. She made practicing her speech so much fun. Every week was like a party where they played games and chatted about fun things. My daughter looked forward to it every week. We appreciated the teletherapy option during covid. Our daughter made so much progress in such a short amount of time and we appreciated how at the end of every session, Leanne touched base with us to let us know how things were going, to give us tips for things to work on in the coming week (she also sent worksheets for us to use, which were great), and to ask for our input. I highly, highly recommend Leanne and while we are happy our daughter will be “graduating” from speech soon, we are sad that our daughter won’t have her weekly sessions with her anymore." PK, Parent

"Mrs. Dall is patient, kind & very focused. She has made speech therapy fun for our six year old and we are seeing remarkable results, especially when we follow suit and do our at home practice as well. Highly recommended!"

"Impossible to speak more highly of Leanne and her work with two of my children. She quickly identified the specific sound issues they had, prescribed targeted exercises to correct them, and guided them through the work with kindness and gentleness. She's great at engaging really young kids, being silly and keeping them engaged, and equally skilled with older elementary age kids. My son had a pronounced difficulty with his R's and in a short time she helped him correct it - we can hardly remember now that he had it. Super grateful for her attentive, skilled and generous work!" - JC, Parent

"Leanne, has worked with our son and daughter for the last three years or so. She has been consistent, patient and kind with both our children. Both son and daughter have made great progress under Leanne's guidance and teaching. She has never missed a session and she has been understanding when our kids do not bring the energy to learn. She has a wide assortment of games and exercises to get the kids to work even when they think they are having fun. I would highly recommend Leanne to any parents looking to supplement their children's speech and academic development." -WM, Parent

"I started sending my daughter to Dallhouse Speech and Language almost one year ago and I have been very impressed with the quality of services and the care that she has received. My daughter's speech pathologist, Ms. Dall, has been very patient and flexible. She has adapted to my daughter's needs along the way. Ms. Dall is creative and engaged my daughter. We have seen see a lot of growth and the strategies that Ms. Dall used in her sessions and the tips to promote speech at home have helped greatly!" - DJ, Parent

"Leanne is an incredible SLP. She is patient and attentive with our 7 year old son, who has been seeing her for a lateral lisp, articulation, and spelling help. She is absolutely wonderful at engaging him and working toward his strengths. She has made significant progress in the last few months with him and she celebrates each progression accordingly with him. She is a true gem!" - MR, Parent

"Leanne was a pleasure to work with. My daughter made a lot of progress with her both in speech and reading. Leanne was good about communicating what they were working on and monitoring updating me on her progress. She is great with kids and is very personable." - MH, Parent

"There's something about a parent's instinct. Or a mother's gut feeling. Or a father's nagging thought. They are meant for survival and success. They are there for a reason.  My eldest was always a smart and wonderful girl- but I knew that something was off. We had a myriad of evaluations and tests done, and some gave a few leads, but none made things completely clear. By age 4 she had auditory and sensory processing disorder. This didn't seem to resolve the concerns we had- there was still something missing.

Around third grade, we had her evaluated by Leanne, which my daughter thought was fabulous and fun! I had suspected dyslexia or some sort of learning disability. I was beyond surprised when Leanne suggested autism- it wasn't at all what I was expecting! The hardest part came next- both our counselor and pediatrician at the time said they didn't see it, and did not support us in pursuing the next steps. We fumbled around seeking the needed support and professional guidance. She ended up being diagnosed with ADHD by a new counselor, which helped our daughter greatly. But something was still missing.

During COVID, all of us parents got to see our children in a different light. Suddenly, we were their teachers, counselors, librarians, cafeteria staff, and bus drivers. The issues that had been mentioned on report cards or shared during conferences, we were seeing them. We were struggling with them and at times overwhelmed by them. This was when we finally realized it was time to pursue the autism evaluation that had been suggested years ago.  It took months of work and polite but persistent communication, but we eventually had a fabulous evaluation, which our daughter of course loved. And then, days before Thanksgiving, we had the answer- she was most certainly on the autism spectrum. "Congratulations," was what the psychologist said! I was briefly surprised but mostly thankful and relieved. It explained so much, and gave us such direction and hope. Our daughter has been happier and had more confidence than I have seen in many years. She feels so good about who she is. We are getting the help she needs. We are getting the support we were desperate for.  So often, many of us are afraid to have our children or ourselves evaluated for fear of being labeled. But for us, it wasn't a label- it was about receiving a passport complete with a GPS, when it felt as though we had been off-roading in the bush, lost and frustrated and getting nowhere. I hope more of us can listen to our internal memo, the gut instinct. It's there for us to make things better and to love harder." - Parent

"Leanne has been working with my severely speech disordered son for more than a year. When he was making the transition from Early Childhood Center Services to kindergarten last summer, we started seeing her for more individualized and focused help.  She is great with him and even though we have a long road ahead, he has made great strides in his speech that I don't think would have ever been possible without her. She is great with him when he's a little too energetic or not up for speech on that day. He is sad if we have to miss a session and don't get to see Ms. Leanne! She has also been great to work with schedule-wise - very flexible and accommodating. She was able to call in and give input for his IEP at school this year as well. She really cares about him and is doing everything to help him out. As his skills improve and his needs change, she introduces new exercises and techniques to meet them. We feel very lucky to have found her!" - KW, Parent
